SEEDLING DISTRIBUTION TO FARMERS
Melia volkensii seedlings being loaded at Kiambere nursery, for transport to farmers. Thousands of farmers in this way have received hundreds of thousands of seedlings. Previously they are organized in groups, have signed contracts with BGF and have been trained in tree planting & maintenance.
GUM GARDEN WITH ACACIA TREES.
Where semi-arid goes towards arid, BGF has distributed seedlings of Acacia senegal¸ for production of gum Arabic, planted in gum gardens in an agroforestry design.
