Jean-Paul DeprinsJean-Paul Deprins MANAGING DIRECTOR Jean- Paul is a Belgian citizen who has taken on the implementation and management of the Better Globe Forestry projects in Kenya., setting aside his activities as MD of a well-known business consultancy company “Total Quality Management” in Nairobi. Jean-Paul has a vast experience of senior management in Europe and Kenya.
Jan VandenabeeleJan Vandenabeele EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Jan is a Belgian forester/agronomist with more than 30 years experience in management and technical implementation of locally and internationally financed projects in Europe, Africa, South America and Asia. He is well respected in forestry circles for his experience and know-how in matters of afforestation. Jan is married and lives in Kenya.
Lawrence Mwema MulandiLawrence Mwema Mulandi FINANCE AND ACCOUNTS MANAGER A certified, dynamic and no-nonsense public accountant, Lawrence holds a degree in business and administration. He has more than five years experience working as an accountant in a school, a restaurant and a health provider. He is an expert in using QuickBooks and has a wealth of experience in taxation.
Samuel NakhoneSamuel Nakhone ASSISTANT TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Samuel is a degree holder in forestry from Moi University’s Chepkoilel campus. He is dynamic and passionate about forestry and works in an organised and structured manner, contributing greatly to the company’s initiatives towards ISO certification. He is knowledgeable in advanced forest management, inventory, mapping and plantation management.Samuel is the manager of the Kiambere site, where he has brought operations to a high level.
Ben has vast experience in supplies management, covering over 25 years. He has, among other things, been in charge of purchasing, stores and transport in an agroforestry company in Nyeri, has worked in a brewing company as the Stores Controller, and also worked as an Internal Controls, Security and Site Manager for a tyre manufacturer.
Wallace MainaWallace Maina NYANGORO FORESTOR Wallace Maina holds a Bsc. Forestry degree from the former Chepkoilel campus of Moi university (currently university of Eldoret). He possess over three years work experience in management and implementation of environmental conservation projects in Mau. Knowledgeable in planning, coordinating and evaluation of community training modules on sustainable natural resource utilization, Wallace adds unique experience fitting to his role as the Forester of Nyongoro plantation based in Lamu.
Dennis OlooDennis Oloo FOREST TECHNICIAN
Dennis Oloo is a diploma-holder from the renowned Kenya Forestry College, Londiani, having graduated with a distinction in Forestry. He has worked with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) in forest conservation and management in Turbo forest, in addition to a year’s research in forest fires and management, specifically in Wire Forest, Homa Bay County. Dennis joins BGF as Forest Technician, Nyongoro site, where his knowledge and hands-on experience is much valued.
Timothy Oindi is a diploma-holder from the Kenya Forestry College Londiani. He is also holder of certificate in sawmilling and harvesting from forest industrial training institute(fiti) Tanzania. His Work experience set off with an internship at the Kenya forestry collage then later at comply industries in nursery and plantation management. Timothy joins BGF as Forest Technician, Kiambere site, where his dynamic knowledge and hands-on experience is of value.
Ambrose MusangoAmbrose Musango FORESTER
Ambrose M. Musango is a Degree holder from the University of Eldoret. He is also proficient with computers and has certificates from the Computer Society of the University of Eldoret. His Work experience set off with an internship at Tipsy Wood Preservation Company ltd, Eldoret, then later at Kiangwa Community-based Organization, kitui county. Timothy joined Better Globe Forestry Foundation as an Agroforestry Agent and currently he is the Acting Forestor.
